This Seminar is the theoretical part A of the current Energy Transitions 11 courses (the practical part B is taking part slightly later). Both courses are embedded in the Horizon Europe project WIMBY. Students can participate in either or both courses (i.e., neither of the courses is a prerequisite for the other). The seminar description can be found on ViaCampus. Against the background of the HORIZON Europe project WIMBY the seminar analyses the regulatory framework for Wind Power deployment across the EU (and as a benchmark possibly in other countries worldwide). The focus here will be on minimum distances to residential areas, exclusion zones and financial compensation schemes. Following the Tenets of Transitional Justice, together we will develop a project deployment strategy for a pilot project on Pantelleria.
