This Seminar explores Consumer Stock Ownership Plans (CSOPs) as an innovative financing technique to broaden capital ownership while facilitating investments in climate adaptation and mitigation measures. It discusses four core challenges in sustainability finance: sustainable equilibrium and homeostasis in socio-ecological / economic systems; the externalisation vs. internalisation of production costs; the application of true cost accounting; and  the design of alternative revenue streams to support long-term sustainability investments.
