This course is a mix of online and presence formats and provides insights into the basic principles of production, logistics and supply chain management. The specific problems of designing, managing and improving production and service processes are outlined and solution approaches are discussed.

The course is structured in 6 weekly units. Introductory basics and simple tutorials are provided online for self-study. Advanced topics, case studies, and the broader context will be discussed in classroom. Participation in the classroom meetings is strongly recommended, because many relevant topics will be discussed there.
The weekly schedule of the course is as follows:
Monday (starting April 8th): Online material (videos for lecture and exercise) for self-study is available;
Wednesday, 10:00-13:00: Lecture in classroom GD Hs6 (The lecture will be recorded and get available 1-2 days afterwards in Moodle);
Thursday, 14:00-16:30: Exercise in classroom GD Hs7 and GD Hs8. Attention! We will solve more difficult tasks, which are not covered in videos from Tuesday. (There will be no recording of this exercise.);
Friday, 11:00-12:00 - online Q&A with the tutor, questions posted in Moodle forum will be answered around this time too.
The grading is based on the best 3 out of 5 weekly tests and a 90 min. exam during the exam week. The weekly test will take 20 minutes and you can gain 15 points. The final test will be 65 points worth. So the maximum you can reach is 110 points. A minimum of 15 points for the weekly tests and 25 points for the final test are necessary to pass the course.
