Englisch C1 Wissenschaftskommunikation Kuwi

Students in this course will develop and practice strategies for writing and reading scholarly texts based on the social sciences and cultural studies. Some topics of the readings include race & ethnicity, language, religion and cultural assimilation, among others. You will write several essays as we review the basic structures of formal argumentative and expository writing. We will also employ rhetorical techniques such as making and qualifying claims, using counterarguments, stance adverbials, reporting verbs, and applying cohesive techniques. The final test will be an in-class essay and reading assignment.
